Interest Groups are the lifeblood of our Club. It is by participating in an interest group, that a new member becomes connected to the 'club' and, especially, to those members who share her interests.
Our Club has many Interest Groups for our members.
A member can join as many groups as her schedule permits.
There is no charge to join a group, although some groups have activities for which there is a charge, e.g. Table Hoppers who go out for lunch monthly. (Payment of the annual membership fee entitles a member to attend program meetings and to join as many groups as they wish.)
The groups normally meet in members' homes, with the responsibility for "hosting" rotating in the group. Some groups are always 'Out and About', such as the monthly Table Hoppers or Art Tour groups.
A group may meet in the evening, morning or afternoon and may have a weekly or monthly schedule.
The groups cover many diverse interests of our members, including:
- Art Tour
- Book Discussion groups
- Book Exchange
- Bridge (marathon, duplicate, beginners, etc.)
- Collectibles
- Creative Writing
- French conversation
- Gourmet Groups
- Hiking
- International Affairs
- Issues Awareness and action group
- Stitch and Chat
- Table Hoppers
- Talk About Travel
- Weekenders
We also have mixed groups for Bridge and Gourmet, which meet on a Saturday night.
We strongly encourage suggestions from our members for new groups.
