Peel Regional Council Considering Removing Flouride from our drinking water

2/7/2016

Attention all CFUW members:
Do you know that Peel Regional Council is considering removing fluoride from our drinking water??

On Monday Jan.28, the mayors of Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon expressed supporting a joint letter for the continued use of fluoride in municipal drinking water as a protective health measure. On Thursday, councillors passed a motion to carry out a review re: continuing the use of fluoridation including input from the public.

There has been very little notice to the residents of Peel Region about this most important issue. If you have an opinion / concern /, contact your councillor.

Note: your Mississauga councillor also serves as your Peel Region councillor, along with the 3 mayors from Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon.
