CFUW MISSISSAUGA'S BOOK PROJECT:

The ‘Book of Profiles’ is an exciting project for our club.  Several years ago, the executive approved the endeavour and, to date, approximately thirty of our members, or 1/6th of the membership, has been involved: writing, fundraising, editing, and with all the other myriad of tasks associated with bringing the book to press.

Fundraising has been difficult as the project coincided with an economic downturn, but we are almost ready to publish and are grateful for the financial support we have received from CFUW Mississauga and from the Mayor’s Gala Fund.

The book will provide a unique perspective on Peel past and present and it is hoped that it will sell well!  It has been the intention since the book’s was apporved that profits will be directed towards post-graduate awards for women in keeping with the CFUW mandate to improve access to education for women.
