Truth Before Reconciliation - A Personal Story

I am a Mohawk/English/Swedish person, with a foot in both the white and Aboriginal community. I have a strong commitment to right relations for Indigenous Peoples and a need to seek   justice for all.

Having lived in many different communities across Canada – whether it was Manitoba, Quebec, or the community of Mississauga I have tried to understand the many differences across Canada.  I actively seek out opportunities to learn, grow and share what I have learned.

My firsthand experience with the Oka Crisis led me down a path of looking into the inequities that still exist between the first nation peoples and the settlers we share the land with.
