Karen Chapple, PhD, is the Director of the School of Cities at the University of Toronto, where she also serves as Professor in the Department of Geography and Planning. Dr. Chapple has studied inequalities in the planning, development, and governance of regions.
Karen is the author of Planning Sustainable Cities and Regions: Towards More Equitable Development. Her studies cover a range of topics including the use of big data to predict gentrification, and the impact of big tech on local housing markets.
