Guest Speaker:  Chief Jennifer Evans , Peel Regional Police Service
Chief Jennifer Evans began her career with Peel Regional Police in 1983 when she joined as a Cadet. Since that time she has progressed throughout the organization with notable assignments which include the Uniform branch, Youth Bureau and the Criminal Investigations Bureau. In 1996 she assisted Justice Archie Campbell in the Review involving serial rapist and murderer Paul Bernardo and later accepted a two year secondment to work as a Violent Crime Analyst at the Provincial ViCLAS Centre in Orillia. Chief Evans also worked throughout the Province for the Office of the Chief Coroner as an investigator and conducted several in-custody death investigations that were subject to mandatory inquests. Upon her return to Peel she worked as a Detective in Homicide & Missing Persons Bureau, and several promotions later returned as the Inspector in Charge.

Plum Johnson, author of They Left Us Everything
Plum Johnson is a Canadian writer and publisher, who won the RBC Taylor Prize in 2015 for her memoir ' They Left Us Everything'. She was the founder of KidsCanada Publishing Corp, the publisher of KidsToronto, and co-founder of 'Help's Here', a resource magazine for seniors and those  who are about them.  

Since publication of this award-winning book, as a Canadian author, she has spent innumerable hours generously giving her time to engage readers in the writing process. She has been featured on TVO's Steve Paikin, willingly has given her time to meet with book lovers across Canada.

Harpist Nathalie Younglai and flutist Catherine Richardson are celebrating the 17th year anniversary of the Variante Harp & Flute Duo!  

The Variante Harp & Flute Duo play classical, pop, Celtic and jazz music.  This Burlington-Toronto based duo perform in concerts and enhance memorable occasions, including weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, funerals, product launches, corporate functions, and many other special events.

Angela Simo Brown,  from Air Miles Reward program
Topic:  Building economy on "purpose" :  how business and consumer ​movements are changing the world

As a recipient of the Women's Executive Network’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada award, Angela has been widely recognized for her vision and leadership around driving economic value while also creating positive social change.   An engaging speaker, Angela has spoken at many conferences throughout North America about the power of creating shared value using social change and cause marketing strategies.  Her innovative ideas and programs have been featured widely in news outlets across Canada.  In 2015 Angela had the honor of being trained by former US Vice President Al Gore and his Climate Reality Project Canada (CRPC) on the threat climate change poses and the solutions that are available.

Throughout her tenure at LoyaltyOne, owner of the AIR MILES Reward Program, Angela has held  a range of leadership roles focusing on strategic initiatives and partnerships, most notably co-founding the organization’s first social change venture, AIR MILES for Social Change.  Currently, as Head of Social Change Strategy & Innovation for LoyaltyOne and Air Miles Angela leads the shared value strategy and program development for the AIR MILES Reward Program, Canada’s premier coalition loyalty program.  Angela has spearheaded numerous cross-sector partnerships and consumer programs that use the unparalleled reach and popularity of the AIR MILES Reward Program to inspire and reward Canadians for making healthier and more environmentally responsible choices. These innovative partnerships have established the AIR MILES Reward Program as a powerful social change agent in Canada
