ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND The CFUW Mississauga Scholarship Fund is registered as a charity and donations to the fund will be receipted for tax purposes. The object of the Fund is to advance education by administering scholarship monies to provide scholarships and bursaries. There are five trustees, all of whom shall be members of CFUW Mississauga. These are the Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, First Vice-President of CFUW Mississauga and the Scholarship Convenor.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLSCFUW (Mississauga) awards four scholarships valued at $2500 each to outstanding female graduating students attending a Mississauga secondary school. Students must complete an application package and submit it to their guidance department. One student from each school is chosen from the applications submitted and that application is forwarded to the CFUW (Mississauga) selection committee. Application forms are available in the Guidance department of each secondary school. Scholarship recipients will be notified in June.

The Annual Card Night, our major fundraiser for the Scholarship Fund,
will be held in April 2019, date to be confirmed
at Christ Church United, 1700 Mazo Crescent, Mississauga.
Tickets are $20 each.

CRITERIA FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS AND HOW TO APPLY
Value •$2500.00 each (four to be awarded)
Eligibility • Graduating female student (one candidate nominated by each Mississauga secondary school)
• Residence in the City of Mississauga and attendance at a secondary school in Mississauga for at least three years
• Enrolment at a recognized Canadian university for a full year’s study in a degree program or College offering a degree programme

Scholarship applications will be available in your school’s guidance department in February. Completed packages must be submitted to your guidance counsellor.
