CFUW Mississauga established its first scholarship for young women
entering university in 1953. That first award was for $100 and was given to a female graduate of Port Credit High School. As the number of schools grew,
so did the number of girls competing for the scholarship. Currently, the scholarship is open to all female residents of Mississauga who have attended a
Mississauga high school for at least three years.
- 4 X $2,000 to Mississauga high school graduates who are accepted to attend Canadian universities
- 1 X $1,500 (annually extendable up to 4 years) to a student selected by University of Toronto in Mississauga (UTM)
- 1 X $1,000 (extendable to a 2nd year) to a mature student accepted to attend a degree-granting college or university
The Canadian Federation of University Women has a scholarship for graduate students.
